Agree. Upvoted for accurate and reasonable criticism of my statement. It doesn’t mean he was a nazi, and it has nothing to do with the fact that he was an amazing musician and performer, and from all accounts I have read, was active in engaging minorities in rock music. It’s just unusual for people who aren’t anthropologists or historians working with a preservation society to have a personal collection of artifacts from such a vile group. I worry that people who don’t know all the good Lemmy did will conclude that he was celebrating the nazis, and unfortunately there is not a lot of objective data left to confirm that he wasn’t glorifying them, and I think that sucks.

This is why I'm highly suspicious of anyone who is too interested in the American Civil War.
