“As I progressed with the designed based on the concept of ‘near-futuristic plus refined ninja’, I added various historical components from military commanders as motifs for that process. My favorite monster among this theme is ‘Baku the Beast Ninja’. I put an extra amount of effort while drawing the eyes and eyebrows of the ninja dog.”

“I like petite girls wearing thick platform shoes. Apparently, all of the P.U.N.K. are part of an artist unit, but I wonder what their meetings are like. I think Sharakusai would devise a plan as the brains of the team, Wa Gon and Spider would be taking concrete notes, and meanwhile Ze Amin and Deer Note would be watching TV while munching senbei (with crazy colors) or something like that.”

“A theme combining the twelve zodiac signs and western fantasy. I remember being overly anxious about feeling that if I didn’t hurry up and finish the illustrations, they wouldn’t be able to allot for all 12 of them. I think I drew way too many variations for the hairstyle of Ratpier. Bunnyblast was designed to completely flip her personality while firing her weapon, and at the time this had to be conveyed only in a Spell Card, so I made sure to emphasize it to the extreme, but now that I look at it, she looks super scary, doesn’t she.”
