Pathological liars are people who are unable to tell the truth. Their need to lie is so great that they can be forced to lie even if they are being interrogated by police. They have trouble distinguishing reality from fantasy, and believe that everything they say is true. Pathological liars do not feel guilty about lying because they believe that their lies are justified and even beneficial to them.
A common explanation for contact with non-human entities is these are physical beings, but there could be a consciousness-based element.
