Decided that for the Voyagers Expedition, rather than climbing a 625u high mountain, I would stair climb my way to 625u. It took a long arse time to build all these platforms and stairs as I climbed them as I was building them! Rendezvous 2 planet - Leyc X42 in the Sivikmiyn I system, coords +25.85, +146.50 (so long as the base loads lol). My fastest time is 3:01.04

Introducing a revolution in cross-base transport: the System for Propulsion via Hazardous Fauna for Aerial Rapid Transit, or the PHFART System. This system, pioneered by Galactic Hub scientists, promises a new era of relaxing, convenient, and safe public transport for our beautiful Hubtropolis of New Ziki City.

The PHFART System enables players to conveniently move between districts of New Ziki City using the propulsive force generated by our all-natural, free-range, wild-grown Gas Pods. Players using the system may experience a brief repulsive smell or the sensation of being kicked in the torso and head. These are normal experiences while using the system, and will pass without harm. Soon you will find yourself peacefully floating through the air, phasing through solid surfaces thanks to our patented persistent-teleportation technology.

Once you reach your destination, you need only stand up to halt your momentum and disembark from the PHFART. If you find yourself above the terrain, you will need to use a jetpack to safely cushion your fall. If you find yourself below the terrain, you will conveniently pop back up through the ground, ready for the day's adventures.

Please take care to board the PHFART System quickly, as the toxic gases given off by the all-natural, free-range, wild-grown Gas Pods may cause discomfort, damage, or fatality after prolonged exposure. Media reports of organ damage after proper use of the FART System have not been verified by Galactic Hub medical professionals. You have nothing to fear while using the PHFART.

I've noticed today that when I sell from my freighter, and debrief my expeditions, the units are not adding into my total units.

Sentinel capital ships are now equipped with shield generators that must be destroyed before their hull can be damaged.
Improved the VFX for Sentinel capital ship weapons.
Fixed a number of multiplayer syncing issues with Sentinel capital ships.

Just started the new community expedition, so first real taste of the Echoes update. I think my starter freighter crew are engaging in some light piracy on the side. My standing with the main system race keeps ticking down every so often, and I gain rep with the Outlaws faction. At least if they are going to go rogue and loot merchants, they can cut me in for a piece of the action!

Didn't see anything in the patch notes.

@Kaymorak @Grimpen It’s a bug. Whenever another player engages civilian freighters, they gain standing with outlaws, and lose it with the local race running the system… And the bug makes ANY player in that system gain and lose. :P

It’ll hopefully be fixed in the upcoming patch, which is in test.

I've stopped this happening so much by parking my freighter in quieter systems. Without a steady supply of salvaged frigate modules I haven't upgraded my freighter much anyways. If your freighter isn't somewhere where other players and you are at the same time, it should hoist the Jolly Roger.

Not sure if it's common knowledge, but I found a bug with the freighter refiner room.

I left stuff running in it (silicate to glass) and immediately jumped through freighter warp. After that my refiner had returned to a previous state (it contained a bunch of ferrite dust from previous rust processing).

Looks like the game "forgot" to save the freighter's state before jumping. Maybe saving before the jump would have prevented that.

I didn't lose anything too valuable, but maybe be careful.

My edition of NMS is the ps5 console version, so no save editing. On a normal save

i am very close to the center of the euclid galaxy, so in the mean time, i am trying to roll for an S class freighter. i warped over four times, then afk'd in a space station for over three hours, then warped to a T3 rich system (never figured out the galaxy map economy filter, colors told me nothing), and on two restore points, i rolled a sentinel freighter. instead of saving it, i went to the space station to make another restore save, then flew out of the station to see the sentinel freighter gone. sadge

i've been researching all the youtube vids on how to potentially roll a good freighter, but they just go on and on about useless crap when all i care for and want to know is only the essential details on how i can best roll/manipulate RNG to give me some good crap. Some other dude on a different forum said the echoes update potentially ruined all known freighter farm methods. so level with me, the galactic hub, are there any spots in there that are good for freighter farming, or am i essentially SOL and at the unrelenting merciless whims of RNG?

I have a combination of cyclotron ballista and rocket launcher on my fighter. It's fun, but the rocket launcher doesn't always kill enemies in one shot when the shields are down. Bummer :-) What do you use for that overwhelming sense of power in space?

A rare moment where I regret having disabled all the NVIDIA stuff that lets me screen record. Space storms! Wtf? Since when do we get storms in space?

The planet it was happening around was type 'shrouded in ash'. Was this a glitch, or a feature? As soon as I got to the system, I thought I was in a space battle at first with all the booms and flashes. There was a weird sort of smoke around the planet, blue lightning sparking all around it.

After 7 years of vanilla (or lightly modded) game, with the new update I decided to give a try to use some more mods. I'd like to have more varied planets and scenarios, with some more QoL improvements.

For now I downloaded these mods:

Anyone else had errors after the upgrade? When I visit one of my larger bases the game crashes. I have tried rebuilding database on my PS5 but still have the issue.

Edit: update received today, 25 August does appear to have resolved this issue!

To explain. I already have numerous bases for various resources and construction projects. I would also like to have one base per galaxy. Seeing as there are 255 galaxies, this will increase the number considerably, especially if I cannot resist building more than one per galaxy. How many bases can I build?

I'm building my first real freighter base, and just wondering a few things, A) is there a harvest all plants button for the entirety of the rooms? B) is the double cultivation chamber the most dense way to grow plants?
