Mods - let me know if this is not allowed (there's no sidebar here yet). Asking $410 plus actual shipping costs. Great condition, 3 silicone lens covers (hey, I was paranoid), two 3rd party batteries with 3-slot charger, 3D printed Me Mode cover/cap in thermoplastic polyurethane (soft rubber). For this price I will transfer the remainder of my Extended Damage warranty, which is good for an additional 2.2 years (until ~October 2025) purchased via Amazon/Asurion which covers both defects and accidental damage. Due to the warranty, it has to be a US transaction. DM me if interested, I have both photos of the unit and accessories as well as photos taken by the unit. Obviously real names/addresses/contacts will have to be swapped to transfer the warranty and will be done via email.

Note: I'm moving to the One 360 for better indoor light response as most of my work is the design and renovation of buildings and the lighting when I'm reviewing the as-built structure is usually poor. The X3 is good, but the One is better and, for my work, worth the increased cost. Outdoors the X3 is great.

Inspired by this post https://lemmy.world/post/1320183 (too bad the fediverse doesn't yet offer a good way to link posts but stay in your own instance) plus a need to share my 360 pictures to a only a specific group of people, I went to ChatGPT for help and very quickly ended up with a working website that can show a pre-defined set of 360 pictures.

So basically a static web page with one single purpose of showing a number of 360 pictures.

Dunno if anyone else is interested, so if there is at least one comment here with a request, I will post the .html code here to save you time.

Sorry if this is an FAQ. I have recently bought the Insta360 X3, and have mostly done videos of outdoor activities. Sharing those isn't really an issue as I have already processed them with the app prior to just sharing the generated .mp4 files.

Today I took several 360º pictures of my apartment, and I want to show these pictures in local house rental sites that will allow people to swipe left/right/up/down to see these pictures in their original 360º view. Is this possible? How do I go about doing this?

First time I took 360º still pictures so I have no clue whatsoever.

The developers working on the site are making continued improvements. And although some features are a WIP, I find the ability to interact and view shared 360 images to be a cut above the rest.

Wondering if anyone has any suggestions. I've got the 3rd generation extended selfie pole (3m), and depending on the orientation of the camera, I'll either get stitching issues of myself when I hold the pole, (cameras pointed left/right), or the base of the pole will appear in shots due to the bend from the camera weight (cameras pointed up/down). Seems like a no-win situation.

Went out for a jog with my new x3. Tried using the direction lock function by turning it on then set a keyframe at the start of the footage to the direction I want.

This is how it is supposed to work am I right? But I find myself having to set new keyframes along the way because it will 'lose' direction and start showing the side view, then I have to correct it by setting additional keyframes.

Maybe I move my camera too much during recording, and the editor gets confused because of this?

I just got my One 360 which will replace the X3 I’ve owned for a little over 8 months. Tried it out in my kitchen with Matterport and it worked flawlessly. I’m excited about the better low light performance and scared shitless I’m going to scratch a lens.

Bought my Insta360 X3 only a few days back so please be gentle.

On desktop's Insta360 Studio when I add multiple keyframes, I notice the angle panning goes smoothly between keyframes, and I can choose a 'curve' to change the style of panning (e.g. from linear smooth change all the way to something closer to a sine wave for instance)

On the mobile editor however, apparently the view perspective will stick to the first keyframe longer before it suddenly switches to the new keyframe. Although I haven't done a lot of experiments yet, I couldn't figure out a way to change the default behavior to smooth transitions.

I am pretty sure I missed something, could anyone show me?

Edit - Never mind, tried editing on the mobile app once again and the transition from one keyframe to the next is seamless just like the desktop counterpart. Maybe I had 'direction lock' set to on previously that caused some havoc... dunno.
