Criminally underused and never got a chance to gel with the team, much less shine. Fair play to him and I hope he tears up Serie A

David Moyes' future at West Ham is under serious threat following a row over recruitment.

Mail Sport understands that the Scot may depart in the near future leaving the Hammers searching for a manager ahead of the new season.

Tensions have been rising throughout the summer amid a difference in opinion on transfer targets between Moyes, new technical director Tim Steidten and co-owner David Sullivan.

Moyes is keen to bring in players with Premier League experience such as James Ward-Prowse and Manchester United pair Harry Maguire and Scott McTominay.

However, he has faced hurdles getting those deals over the line with others wanting to go in another direction.

Moyes has had disagreements with new technical director Tim Steidten over recruitment

Those tensions have now reached breaking point with a feeling that the departure of Moyes or Steidten is inevitable.

It can also be disclosed that West Ham have a hit-list of replacements should Moyes be shown the door.

If Moyes is sacked at such a late stage of the summer it will further raise questions over West Ham's ownership and strategy.

Fans have hoped that the £105million received for Declan Rice would have been invested in squad strengthening however that has failed to materalise.

Moyes took training as normal on Friday and is set to fly to Germany ahead of West Ham's final pre-season friendly of the summer against Bayer Leverkusen on Saturday.

West Ham open the new Premier League campaign at Bournemouth next Saturday.

Moyes apparently unhappy at not being in charge of all transfer business, Steidten wonders why he was hired, does Newman have a secure job, and what exactly is Noble's job anyway?

"The report suggests the Hammers have also made an approach for Bristol City star Alex Scott and are considering a move for Ajax midfielder Edson Alvarez after his move to Borussia Dortmund fell through."

Silly Season is heating up.

Hi! I guess I was the first refugee from /r/hammers to make it to here, so I decided to stick our flag into the ground and wait around for others to wander in.

If I get bored, I'll make some stickied posts with all the previous rules and such from the other place.

For now just be excellent to each other.
