I'm currently reading the book series that Howls Moving Castle is based on and it's so charming! Some big differences but I feel like the tone is similar. I'm curious what other good ones are out there based on other Ghibli movies.

Both Nausicaa and Castle in the Sky will be available in theaters in the next few days. They're great on the big screen!

Studio Ghibli made a very short and cute animation for Star Wars Visions. It was an awesome mix of two of my favorites.

スタジオ = Studio, ジブリ = Ghibli. "株式会社" just means something like Inc or Ltd, so it looks official and stiff, not something for a fan community. As a native Japanese speaker I got the vibes as if this place is officially endorsed by the company or is a community to talk about the business side of the studio.

I know it's technically not Ghibli, although Hayao Miyazaki is synonymous to Studio Ghibli för me.

As far as I know these are from the first US edition from the 90's. I'm only able to find the missing ones (two and five) on Ebay from the US, but the cost and shipping fees are way too high, I am not inclined to spend $40 to $90 per book. I bought them from a scifi and fantasy book store in Stockholm years ago, but these were all the volumes they had.

Does anyone have any tips on where else to look?

For me it would be Princess Mononoke, which is also one of my favorite films, period. I really appreciate the maturity and nuance it brings to it's environmental themes, which have been done in many other films, but not as well.

Anyone ever been to one of these concerts where an orchestra plays music from the movies? I’m going to one in 3 weeks and am really looking forward to it. I’m hoping they show scenes from the movies during the songs.
