Pure cash somehow, but that isn't a point.
Peeling seeds out of dry Red Russian Kale fruit is super easy and calming mind and fingers, too.
Brassica oleracea Acephala that is.
Nutritional value of leaves and seeds = GREAT btw.
Each of the fruit contains approx. 20 seeds (a very conservative estimate).

Buying suchg seeds online costs between 2.29£ per 400 seeds or even 2.99€ per 80 seeds here, plus shipping. The latter amounts to a kilo price of more than 8K €. Oh yeah.

Anyone in Berlin Wedding wants some for free? Just one plant on my window sill is great to have already, and of course in am open to edible other things, if you have some.

Harvesting image - a bit blurry.

Here's a leaf. They taste a little salty, mild, in fact quite different from classical Kale, like

4th floor window gardening, Red Russian Kale explodes to bloom soon. It basically grew 400% in just 4 weeks. What a bomb of a plant!
And so tasty.

After finding out about a month ago that the garden spot I was planting in down at my in-laws' place was essentially clay hardpan I finally decide to look at what's in the backyard at the new place and this is what I find. It's a true loam.

Not a sandy loam, not a clay loam, just pure loam. It's the perfect garden soil just like it is and it seems to keep going for as deep as I dig. It's really a gift. I've got a lot of sod to remove unfortunately but that can be done.

This may be the last day lily as well. These were here when we moved in. I've really enjoyed them. #gardening @gardening

Any idea what this is? Lovely foliage & a bud starting on it. Wondered if it's form seed I scattered or something the birds brought in. @gardening #gardening

What I'm going to do with all the cucumbers! 😫

To think this spring I had a lot of problems with them and only two plants survived!
Well...they survived and now they are happily producing far more cucumbers than I can handle!

My first #sixonsaturday post. These are all day lilies that are blooming in the #garden this morning. I think we have around 14-16 varieties so far this year. (I should probably go out and count them  )

Here’s mine. Letting the grass grow certainly hasn’t stopped the flowers blooming. #SixOnSaturday #BloomScrolling #gardening @gardening
