For years, the Cinnamon Desktop was my favorite. In part, because it was the evolution of Gnome 2. Recently, I've been running the Gnome Desktop and, after working with it for a while, it's won me over. I still hold Cinnamon in high regard but, I'm liking Gnome better these days.
