I'm not autistic, and haven't heard of infodumping so I don't know what it is, but I just saw the original on all, and got curious so decided to check out what this sub is all about. Then I saw this, and I'm dying with laughter this is so funny.

Also, new to this site so I'm not really sure what we call our communities here instead of subs. Or what to call the page you see when you log in, instead of calling it all.

Place you log in to = your home instance

Subreddit = Community (Also heard sublemmy, page and magazine, but community is the official term.)

Local = communities on your home instance

Group of subs on one server = Instance

Open comunication between Instances = Federation

Gathering of communities on all nodes / federated instances = Fediverse

Basically you pick your home instance, which has some communities. Think of this like a star system with planets. But your 'star' (instance) is linked to other stars, and you can interact with 'planets' (communities) around those other linked stars, as if it was just one huge collection of planets.
