So i just ordered a Reolink RLN8-410 along with 5 wifi cameras and a doorbell. Is it still necessary to get or use alarm system? I have the ring 1st generation alarm and just noticed that although i pay 10$ i no longer have home monitoring and starting april 1st they are raising price to 20$

Depends what you want it for. Obviously the Reolink cameras don't tell you things like when a window or door is opened - so you'd still need to double up. (edit: and if you have the "call police automatically" setting on too, but probably not a great setting to have enabled regardless). But if all you want is notifications when a camera detects movement, you're good to cancel your other subs.

Well I wasnt sure if there was anything that worked well with Reolink or if there was a system that doesnt require you to have a sub in order to get alerts

I don't think anything works directly with Reolink. I have a set of Tapo contact sensors that seem like they work decently enough - I get alerts with no sub, but of course I have to have the Tapo hub and app.
