I have a Pixel 8 Pro and when I download something I can't see the download speed in the notification bar (Download Manager) only the %.

Is there any way to show/see the download speed in Android 14 when I'm downloading?

Seconding this. You can use a custom download manager (and you'll gain more features at the same time, like multipart downloads etc...).

I'd recommend Aria2App. It's an open-source app based on the open-source aria2 CLI download utility.

The only slightly annoying thing is that for your download to be handled by Aria2App, you'd need to long tap on the download link in your browser, select "Share" and then choose Aria2App from there, but that's IMO a very small price to pay for all the convenience that you get.
