Mishima: A Life in Four Chapters

https://youtu.be/ytA4_dI2mjc?si=9ds_I5_w39-Yphoz

I enjoyed it, it's an artsy Japanese film directed by Paul Schrader who wrote Taxi Driver. Unique and engaging film that touches on gender roles and fighting for "valiant causes."

I liked the cinematography and how they wove the chapters together.

It could, but it probably won't. It's still going to be priced for bleeding-edge early adopters. Not enough ubiquitous use cases yet and the price point is a real non-starter.

Roon Server on EndeavourOS (links.hackliberty.org)

I've been trying to follow documentation on the Roon website to get a roon server set up on a fresh endeavourOS install. I'm getting confused by various forum threads I've come across. Has anyone in this community successfully gotten roon server working on Linux? I'd really appreciate any concrete guidance as to how you got it set up.

I understand that there's no gui and that I'll have to connect to the server with the android app from my phone, but I can't tell that the service is running and when I search for the server from my phone, nothing appears.

Thanks!

Got it, I was more confused by the 'around literal' part of the comment. So like, are you summoning via a ritual? Honest question.

I'd like to double click on what you mean by "literal demonic entities" - thanks!

My dad died while I was in grad school (pancreatic cancer). He was the sole breadwinner for our household - it was a real wakeup call, but I also realize in hindsight that he probably negatively impacted my personal growth. I thought, while he was around, that supporting the family business would be a viable career path, but it was mismanaged and I disagreed with decisions he would make. Instead I have had a successful career in consulting and with large corporations. There was an interim period where I did manage the business, but ended up shuttering it/liquidating. It also resulted in my siblings getting full rides to compete their undergrad. I think in our case, experiencing the bottom fall out motivated us to not miss our shot.

I do miss him, but I can't help but think it was for the better.

This is funny, I asked my wife this morning "have you ever thought of tasting the cat's canned wet food?"

We've never done a taste test, sad to say.

I didn't finish everything I had set out to at work today, but the stuff I did finish was well received. I'm on track to go to bed on time, was able to exercise, and we cooked a pretty bomb masaman curry dish for dinner. There's always tomorrow for work stuff - consider my goals for the day completed.

My brother works at a restaurant where the head chef mentioned that he has tried sea turtle soup. The chef said that it's a good thing that sea turtle is illegal to consume because the soup and texture of the meat was so perfect that sea turtles would be guaranteed to go extinct otherwise.

Every day. My boys get 1/3 cup of dry food and a can of wet food. They're both ~11 lbs, trim and healthy. Cats shouldn't be on a pure dry food diet if possible.
