gas cars generaly, from what I've been told, don't use said gas while beeing shut off to keep the car in operational condition. But maybe yours is different.

What a shit show - why would this data ever need to be uploaded anywhere, at all, and if it really does, why not encrypted where only the owner has the decryption keys. It's like a 15 year old designed the system at tesla.

from what I understand from the article the problem is that people are queuing and because of long waiting times batteries die.

I honestly don't understand why people are buying EVs if they don't have the option of home charging.

It's pretty funny seeing the discrepancy between this thread beeing overall positive of ai replacing jobs, and the other one where google is letting people off and commenters are pissed about it.

people have a hard time admitting that their job today might be obsolete tomorrow, I believe this is already happening and it's going to get much, much worse. If you're not adaptable you'll have a very hard time in the future.

Kai-Fu Lee has a pretty interesting idea of how this will all end up - a couple of large corporations directly paying people's unemployement to prevent riots.

Why are so many other nation’s CEOs so selfish? Why do they need to make more money than they already have?

because their investors expect them to. Welcome to capitalism and building shit with borrowed money.

it may or may not be in the future

the problem is bioreactors just don't scale - at all. Maybe there's some kind of breakthrough but my personal opinion (as a biochemist working with bioreactors) is that not for a long time.
