I think it’s mostly rooting for certain jobs that are predominantly populated by annoying people: artists, translators, that kind of stuff.

I can’t imagine anyone wanting AI medical care or legal counseling.

Possibly more evidence for the Giant-Impact hypothesis. Very interesting science especially if they also have evidence that it's the origin of plate tectonics.

All of season 1 wrapped up in one video!

For me:

  • shaving with a safety razor

  • film photography

  • writing with a fountain pen

Cat and Moth (www.hilariouschaos.com)

I was doing a lot oil painting prompts and this was "oil painting of a cat and glowing moth."

Sea monster cat (www.hilariouschaos.com)

Pretty sure the prompt was: cat in the style of a sea monster on an old nautical chart

How special do you have to be to read a book and decide to go out with a stranger and buy coke?

Saw this on r/fountainpens this morning. Pretty long winded so here is a TL;DR: calling cheap fountain pens possibly made in China “starter pens” is racist and offensive.

Luckily there is quite a bit of push back in the comments since there are highly regarded Japanese and European “starter pens.”

(Yes I like fountain pens and subscribe to a subreddit about them)

Kind of a specialized history channel about early Welsh history that I find pretty interesting.

Really interesting channel that does some really long form videos on collapse of empires and civilizations. They do two types of content where some are just audio only and others are actual videos with like reenactments and other visuals.

I think it’s pretty cool from a historic stand point.

Back in the early 70s a guy named Jon Draper figured out that a toy whistle that came in a box of Captain Crunch cereal was the perfect frequency to initiate free long distance phone calls when blown into a phone.

Sometime after that people realized they could build an electronic device that could produce that frequency and two guys started building them and made a decent amount of money off it: Steve Jobs and Steve Wozniak before they started Apple Computers. So Apple Computers’ startup was funded in a large part by Phone Phreaking devices.

Thanks. Kind of seems like I’m getting better already. Knock on wood.

No allergies and yeah I take vitamins.

I had a sore throat yesterday and that’s how colds always start for me.

I think I’ll brew some tea and see if that perks me up. Coffee didn’t do shit for me this morning.
