Are music videos where the song talks about political issues really cool for that community?

I got one bounced from /videos and they told me to post it there, and y'all let it stay up.

It didn't seem like a good fit, or get a single upvote, but just curious how political the divide is between the two communities.

The sequel would have likely started right where the first stopped.

More a part 2 thing than a sequel.

What?

Where have you heard that?

They cooperated against his conspirator, they've had civil suits...

I kind of pay attention to news, so I'd be surprised if I missed something about the victims (no idea why you said witnesses) stopped cooperating for a brief window and Garland immediately dropped charges.

Because man, even if that happened, it still makes no sense to close the case early.

Hey. Maybe I missed something though, I tried to find a source though, and if anything is out there I'm still missing it.

So, can you help me out and provide a source for this:

Because the witnesses wouldn’t talk.

If you're wondering why no criminal charges...

Merrick Garland dismissed charges like 9 months ago

comparatively tiny strip of territory

Most of Russia's land is useless...

It's not amount the amount of land it's the food they produce, the wealth of it's citizens, it's ports, and its land borders with Europ that Putin wants.

Dude is trying to claw back as much of the USSR as he can, and he'll stop with Ukraine as much as Hitler stopped with Poland.

When the actual economy is good, voters like a pro corporate government because they're reaping some of the rewards.

When "the economy" which only cares about stock prices is the only thing doing well, voters don't like corporations because nothing is even trickling down for them anymore.

For some reason Biden and Kamala insisted on saying that the economy was great.

All Kamala had to do was ovary up and say she disagreed with Biden on some topics, and she believed she could improve the country more in four years than Biden had in his. She could have even thrown out a "thanks to a good starting point" if she wanted to play nice.

Instead she literally said she wouldn't have done anything different, and then acted shocked when people treated her as just as liable for Biden's mistakes.

She ran with Biden, the smart move was to frame it as her running against Biden to undercut trump's message as the anti-establishment candidate.

If we hit that bullseye, the rest of the dominoes should fall like a house of cards.

Silver lining is he's going to go after all the neoliberals because they're in leadership positions.

I'm not near enough optimistic to think it'll happen, but there's a path forward where if trump does start prosecuting people like Pelosi or Schumer... That the neoliberals cut bait and run, it's like natural selection, the only Dems who will stay in office or run for it will be ones knowing it puts a target on their back. But willing to fight anyways.

Moderates don't have it in them to lead, and they're too proud to follow.

But making life hard for elected Dems usually gets them out of the way at least.

Literally the last time trump was elected it happened, Donna Brazil managed to get an interm leadership position to where she could see the books, because everyone in on Hillary's bullshit resigned when she lost.

If it wasn't for that, we wouldn't have known for sure how rigged that primary was.

When exactly is Garland going to land that bigger fish?

Now that it's accepted that what is in the ethics probe is so damaging that he's pulling a Paul Ryan...

It's important to remember that the actual criminal case likely gathered the same information, and that Biden's DOJ helmed by his AG decided to drop charges.

“We have just spoken with the DOJ and have been informed that they have concluded their investigation into Congressman Gaetz and allegations related to sex trafficking and obstruction of justice and they have determined not to bring any charges against him,” Gaetz’s lawyers, Marc Mukasey and Isabelle Kirshner, said in a statement.

https://www.cnn.com/2023/02/15/politics/matt-gaetz-justice-department/index.html

And I know people think it's mean to keep kicking a geriatric president when he's a lame duck.

But it's important everyone remembers how much we fucked up by running an ineffectual moderate when the opposition are literal fascists.

If we get an election in 2028, we can't afford to do this again.

We need someone that will actually fight back. Just winning the election and not holding anyone accountable obviously doesn't fucking work.

It's not just trump.

They fearmonger about trump, say neoliberals are our only hope, and anyone to the left of them is Boris Yeltsin

The whole thing is controlled opposition to make sure the wealthy always win.

Like, we don't have much choice for reporting, we just need people to understand that it will always have a pro-wealthy bias. And to never listen to their opinion pieces

Don't worry tho!

These regular Americans paid tax dollars that helped save wealthy silicon valley account holders when they lost over the insured maximum:

https://www.npr.org/2023/03/14/1163301538/customer-deposits-of-more-than-250-000-at-2-failed-banks-will-be-guaranteed

I'm sure now that it's the other way around Biden's admin is go to jump in and use the wealthy's money to reimburse the people who lost under the FDIC max and were tricked into believing they held normal bank accounts with FDIC protection.

But even if they knew for a fact they had no protection...

That would put them in the exact same position as people who had over the insurance maximum.

Unless of course Biden doesn't give a fuck about regular Americans and only wants to help the wealthy.

Cuz we all know trump won't do shit if it's not fixed before January

Can I mod /fantheories?

The only mod created it a year ago, made a single post there, and hasn't made a comment/post anywhere in over four months.

They mod about 50 communities, all of them seem to be ghost towns the account was just squatting on.

So not sure if you just want to delete those so when someone wants to create it they can.

The reason it fits this sub, is they already knew this guy was an extremist committing crimes 2 years, long before he started shooting up Dem offices.

The cops just felt it wasnt in the interest of their personal safety to stop him, which lead to him escalating his crimes over the years.

Despite evidence pointing to Kelly as the perpetrator, Weich said law enforcement did not move to arrest him. Weich said that Phoenix police feared that approaching Kelly would pose a threat to their safety. A prosecutor out of the Phoenix City Attorney’s Office declined to pursue charges, Weich said.

Which lead to this:

Kelly was arrested about 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday during a traffic stop. Kelly's attorney Squires said his vehicle was stopped using a grappler that hooked the car from behind. "That is quite shocking to a person who's never had any previous allegations at all," Squires said in court.

Squires said in court the car was then surrounded by more than a dozen law enforcement personnel.

The prosecutor said Kelly had numerous guns in his car, including a machine gun. He did not have his cellphone. Similarly, no cellphone was tracked behind during the shootings at the Democratic office, the prosecutor said. That led authorities to believe he was on his way to "potentially do something," the prosecutor said.

Arkansas voters won’t get to weigh in on a ballot initiative to expand medical marijuana after the state Supreme Court ruled the measure didn’t fully explain what it would do, tossing out the initiative just two weeks before the election.

It’s too late to remove the measure from the ballot — early voting began Monday — so the court has ordered election officials not to count any votes cast on it. The proposed constitutional amendment would have broadened the definition of medical professionals who can certify patients for medical cannabis, expanded qualifying conditions and made medical cannabis cards valid for three years.
