I usually buy the smaller bags at Natural Grocers. They're just dehydrated soy beans that you rehydrate and cook. If you do try them, a lot of recipes will say soak and then drain, but I'd also really recommend squeezing the excess liquid out, too. If you don't, they can end up spongy. I use them in place of chicken a lot.

Ugh, I wish I still had the one I had in college 20 years ago. It was lined with fake fur kind of fabric and it was so warm, and I'm always cold, so I wore it constantly. Sadly, I gained a few pounds and it didn't fit.

I volunteer to run Dave Ramsey over with a bus. He's an out of touch dipshit that no one should take seriously.

Same. It's unbelievably frustrating that there are so many people who don't care until it impacts their lives, but there are also plenty of trans kids who end up closeted, homeless, or dead because their families won't change no matter what. I'll take this guy supporting his kid over that any day. I want people to know that changing their mind is good and welcome. Hopefully that'll make it more likely and more kids will be safe.

I'm pretty sure the last one is Senua, which is worse. Dudes are really worried about their boners while playing a game about a woman with trauma and mental illness. Very cool.

I'm vegan, so lots of stuff. Even things like tofu can be difficult to find, depending on where you are, and anything more niche than that is basically impossible.

I mean, you can, but most people who prioritize those things aren't going to want to make a multiple hour drive to get there. It sounds like they're not your priority in the way I meant if nature is the more important thing. For me, I enjoy nature, but it's more important that I can get the groceries I want (which are very hard to find outside of bigger cities), or go to the zoo for a couple of hours without having to plan it a week in advance.

Uh, I was literally specifying that I don't care about the color of people's skin. Because of the headline of the article. Jesus.

How much do you value access to restaurants, lots of stores, and the sort of activities that are usually found closer to cities (like museums and concerts)? For some, the answer is not much, so buying a house away from those things is great. Other people would be miserable.

Yeah. He actually goes door to door and talks to people, I guess, and he's pretty good at reining in the crazy in person, so if they're not on social media, they don't realize. Plus, he gets votes from people who vote straight republican and don't pay attention to the individual candidates. He's never even come close to winning, but he gets way more votes than he should (1 is the number he should get, just his own).

I'm not sure - he really doesn't come off that way in person. I mean, he's still a nut but he did a candidate forum when he was running for mayor and it was more like typical MAGA nonsense (but he also hates a lot of Republicans after the local party pulled their support during a previous election).

I don't know what that emoji means?
