If you think LLMs hallucinate too much, wait till you check out code literally written during hallucinations.

There's more than one way to skin a cat. The Chinese EV companies that have come up in the last few years use a diversity of business strategies, not all involving high margin SUVs. BYD's cars, for example, are spinoffs of its battery manufacturing business.

No that's not how leveraged buyouts are structured. Musk isn't on the hook for the loans, Twitter the company is (basically, Twitter took on debt to help buy its former shareholders out).

They already do. Their licensing agreement with OpenAI is crazily favourable to them. They have basically unlimited rights to use OpenAI's tech forever, and have a claim on most of OpenAI's future profits.

Funny thing is, Chinese EVs are at the place where Japanese cars were back in the 1970s. Widely mocked as cheap crap, but consumers like them well enough, and the quality keeps improving. The US reacts by shutting them out of its market, but they're doing awfully well everywhere else in the world...

The significance is that Hong Kong used to be exempt from such requirements, because it was viewed as sufficiently separate from China. No longer.

  • Dark Sun: Shattered Lands, still the single best computer gaming representation of an epic D&D campaign, edging out even Baldur's Gate 1-3 in my opinion.

  • Ultima 7: an RPG built around the goal of immersing the player completely into the game world, eschewing any straightforward gameplay loops. If only the Ultima series had continued going strong, like the Elder Scrolls, rather than fizzling out with 8 and 9...

It's amazing that CT never spawned an ongoing franchise. Aside from the controversial CC, there have been no other followups or even remakes, only a remaster. It's like the platonic ideal of a JRPG, sitting alone and unsullied in the timestream.

The passerby doesn't linger, so the dog views it as a moral victory...
