They mean to say it's roughly Neptune's size but has 4 times the mass ( probably also beacause Neptune is a gas giant )

I used to be in the same boat as you, pretty hopeful that Starfield will be the space game to replace Elite for me. But the more I read about it, the more I realize it can't.
I dread the day I put Elite down cause I'll have no space sim to scratch the itch.
Slightly dissapointing, but it was to be expected I guess. It's unreasonable to expect Elite or NMS-level seamless exploration out of that engine, and by the looks of it a cell will be around half a skyrim map, so not bad at all.
I wonder what this means for potential planet rovers, though. My suspicion is rhat Bethesda will not release any, as exploring with a vehicle will make the cell feel a lot smaller.
Phil Spencer told IGN that dropping the number was a deliberate decision to illustrate that the game is now a “service platform.”
Well there goes the neighborhood.
Turn 10 wanted players to know that they won’t immediately be focusing on the next instalment and that they can invest their time in the new game for years to come.
Oh you mean like what Microsoft did with Flight Simulator? No thanks.
Je ne pense pas. La langue me semble correcte
and the Shattered Space Story Expansion (when it becomes available).
What is this fuckery? Unplayable day-1 DLC pre-installed and taking up space on the user's machine? Jesus christ bethesda
In a statement on CDPR's website, CEO Adam Kiciński says the layoffs are part of "ongoing process of several deep transformations within the studio," which he considers "key to making quality games, on time and without crunch."
I'm not familiar with the company's insides, but boy does that quote read like high quality newspeak.
I bet they're smelling Google's downfall, or at least trying to hasten it.
Nice! Is this by any chance built from 10277 Krokodil pieces? I remember that set being extremely versatile
Jack Nicholson looked so young back then
Essentially yes. Watched that Luke Stephens youtuber's review and it looks like exploration is one of the meh aspects of the game. Apparently the game generates a new ~4km cell when you land and that is created from a seed based on a planet map. Proc-gen needs some work too, as it presumably gets very repetitive with identical assets repeating often.
