Super jealous. We’re within city limits, on .5 acres. Doing things on a muuuuuuch smaller scale!

They’re little sticks that you place in some of the holes to help the bees figure out which spot is theirs. Since there are so many holes so close together, is kind of easy for the bees to get confused and frustrated to the point of leaving. They’re clever enough to know their hole is “two up from the green stick”, or “four to the right of yellow, but below the red.”

No kidding? Back in… I want to say WWII, so many of the wealthiest people in the U.S. occupied the island that the government was concerned (not sure if they took action, I think so) a single bomb/attack could wipe out a significant portion of the nation’s wealth.

We’re talking Carnegie, Pulitzer, Rockefeller, Vanderbilt… that kind of money.
