I would say you’ll be better off with the MacBook Pro. If extreme portability is not a very big requirement then the MacBook Pro is better than the Air in practically every way. Also with some games not receiving very good mac ports, like Firmament, Layers of Fear, etc. performance on the MacBook Air is not as reliable as the Pro. You can expect a minimum of 30-40fps at decent settings at just about any game you throw at the MacBook Pro.

I have the same problem too, when I do something in the desktop app I would love it to be automatically be updated on my Home Screen and Lock Screen widgets so I can be ready to go.

Woah, didn’t know you could have nested tags in Things. Gonna try this out now.

The author has written about Bear 1 not receiving updates and I think that is a problem. The main reason I never checked out Bear before knowing Bear 2 is a thing because I thought the developers did not care for it enough and did not publish updates, luckily somehow I found a link to the bear 2 beta forum and now it’s my favourite app. I wonder how many other people like me have abandoned it due to v1 being stale.

The only desirable feature I can think of right away is end-to-end encryption while syncing my tasks. Other than that, Things is like the Monalisa. I don't believe Things 4 is even needed.

I didn't think about a particular system but overtime tags in my notes have been arranged naturally in a system that feels pretty close to the PARA method. I don't specifically try to maintain projects and areas tho.

My favourite Bear feature of all time is the lack of features, iykyk ;)
