I think 90% of politicians’ books are bought in bulk by lobbyist organizations that want to curry favor with them (or are basically party orgs like Heritage or Center for American Progress). At best, they give them away at conferences or send them to donors. I wouldn’t be shocked if the Heritage Foundation basement is half full of dogshit books by potential president/VP candidates.

Well, at least there’s no rare earth metals in Tesla batteries that are sourced from countries with exploitative labor practices. Might as well waste a few to create an artificially shittier product.
Netanyahu doesn’t seem to want peace as much as he wants to pull a Srebrenica in Rafah. I doubt Israel accepts unless there’s some major, unannounced consequences from the United States and Europe (like an end to military cooperation and significant sanctions on his cabinet).
I’m normally against politicians in their 80’s running again but (unlike Biden and Trump), I haven’t seen any evidence Bernie is sundowning. He obviously has less energy now than he did a decade ago — hell, I’m in early 40’s and I have less energy than a decade ago — but he still speaks as clearly and eloquently off-the-cuff as he did early in his career.
“Here is an alternative Piped link(s)“ and then it links to a video of me dying.
The good news is that like 5 years after college no one gives a shit about commencement or, for that matter, where you went to college. The most popular commencement speaker when I was finishing college was Bill Cosby.
Everything is political. It doesn’t have to be partisan but even saying, “A plague on both your houses” is political.
Based on all the commercials during soccer matches, they prefer to be known as “Azerbaijan: Land of Fire.”
Also, when I was in school, I memorized the majority Shiite countries by thinking the two “I”s in Shiite stand for Iraq and Iran. And then I just remembered Azerbaijan and Bahrain because it’s not that hard to remember 2 things that don’t fit your stupid idea about trying to make a theme to memorize 4 things.
I stand corrected. I didn’t really use macOS until a few years ago.
I originally got a MacBook because my work life is all Linux and I was working from home and needed that psychological separation. Like, “This computer is for work. MacOS is for watching basketball.”
macOS does have a setting to remap the caps lock key and game has to recognize game sometimes. They stole the good ideas from Gnome. But if I can’t hit CAPS Lock+tilde and have a real terminal slide down, your operating system is dead to me.
I’m sure I can get there on Windows if I cared to but I’m too busy deleting Candy Crush or whatever.
The bottom line is that when I really need macOS, it’s built into the settings. Gnome is effortless. Windows is a constant battle.
I didn’t even know he was pregnant. It’s a testament to his athleticism that he played so hard while great with child.
