Nope, I'm expecting it to be alphabetical by author like all other places that I go to. They're just a mishmash of authors and I'll often find the same authors books be in different places in the same section. It sucks.

At the Barnes and Noble by me, the books aren't in alphabetical order, and it pisses me off. It's good to have more actual book stores but I wish my local one fucking alphabetized their books.

I've been wondering if those videos I've been seeing on my subscription page were good or bad. Fucking sucks they're turning that direction esepcially because they've done some amazing reporting on a lot of different things but the stuff that has really stuck with me is their trans reporting and this sounds like they're taking a 180 and it's only a matter of time before they put out a video saying something like "Here's why trans people are dangerous". Time to unsubscribe.

Infiltrating makes it sound like it's something that is being done in secret and no one expected as opposed to being the plan from the beginning.

Anyone who said that Project 2025 wasn't something to be afraid of, that it was simply a boogeyman that they made you be afraid of but is nothing important, should be fucking ashamed of themselves.

This is something that really bothers me. You can't be liberal on the issues of abortion and climate change and also be supportive of conservative politicians who are completely opposed to those two things being important. You're basically just a liar.

Edit because of some comments: I agree that some aren't lying. Most are definitely convinced by the propaganda. But there's also people who are lying to themselves about it. That last one is what I was talking about. I'm gonna leave the original phrasing though because of the people directly addressing it.

There's definitely more ways to talk about the threat to Democracy but I still think we should call a fascist a fascist. Its frustrating because there are definitely other aspects to Democracy being under threat in this country and I 100% agree that she should have also talked about those threats. But you should still say Trump is a threat to Democracy because he is. And him being elected might literally mean the end to Democracy in the US.

“This is why we can’t catastrophize at this moment, because catastrophization is white supremacy,” they said. “All the things that White people fear, Black people, Indigenous folks, migrants have been facing for centuries.”

I understand this sentiment. Many in the community in my red state are catastrophizing though and telling us that "well others are already facing that" to make us feel better doesn't work. And to be honest, it's also bs. Trans people in those communities aren't being tracked like the possible worst case scenario. Trans people in those communities aren't criminalized and being put in camps. Trans people in those communities aren't being told their meds are now illegal. And all Trans folk are under threat of being beaten up in bathrooms, of being killed for being who we are. Are those communities more likely for those things to happen? Yes. But to say that white trans folk being worried about that and the other worst case scenarios happening too is white supremacy doesn't really help any Trans person. There's ways to say we can't catastrophize without calling it white supremacy.

"Hey, your hate isn't welcome in our city! Now take it to DC so you can govern the country!"

People need to stop supporting Nintendo at all. They're lawsuit happy assholes who have been doing everything they can to piss away any good will they might have had. They're the only game company out there who refuses to make enough of many of their products, like their mini NES and SNES, to meet demand because then its "exclusive", they are the only company trying to destroy all type of emulation for Nintendo consoles, and they're the only company who seems to actually want their older games to disappear into the ether. Edit: Oh and they fucking refuse to put their games on sale or lower their prices years afterwards. BoTW is still 60 bucks even though it's 7 and a half years old. Fucking insane.

Fuck Nintendo.

"What could Trump do to lower grocery prices?"

Apparently either increase oil production which biden has already done and Harris also talked about continuing, or do two other things that Harris promised to do.

So essentially Trump could have done one thing to lower prices. Lose the fucking election.

Ah yes, because we all know someone worth at least 30 million is a "working person."

People say they care about climate change but don't vote to help mitigate it. People say they want the rich to pay more in taxes but they don't vote to implement it. People say they support queer rights but they don't vote to protect them. People say they support abortion rights but they don't vote to protect them federally. People say they want social security to have payments increased but they don't vote for people that want to do that. People say they want to lower medication costs but they don't vote for people that are actively doing it. People say they want a path to citizenship for undocumented immigrants but they don't vote to provide it. People say they support weed legalization but they don't vote for someone who wants to do that federally. People say they want lower grocery store prices but they don't vote for the person who would help break up the megacorporations driving up prices or who is also talking about punishing price gouging. People say they want help with housing costs but don't vote for the person who wants to put limits on rent increases and punish landlords who have been driving up the prices. People say they want net neutrality but they don't vote for the person who would defend it. People say they want better broadband but they don't vote for the person who could actually fight for it.

If People don't vote for their beliefs or for the person closest to their beliefs who actually has a chance at winning and instead vote based on propaganda and against the very policies they claim to support then things will never get done and all that will happen is economic collapse and fascism.

All people had to do was vote for Harris. Was go out and do their civic duty for living in a society and vote for the person who would at least fight to implement or provide so many of the policies above.
