I'm not a lemmygrad user. I'm simply stating facts?

There's literally many recent news articles of Canadians getting in legal trouble from American companies because of the things they posted or things they downloaded.

The Canadian government isn't handing me over to China or allowing China to come get me.

My comment is not even pro China. I'm just saying that nothing I say or do will allow China to put me in jail. Can't say the same about America.

You should learn to read. I would prefer no one get my data, but it's statistically safer for me for China to get it over an American company. However, no one should get it. Fuck shit American companies, fuck shit Chinese companies.

It's worse for the US to have my data as a Canadian than China. America can come for me, and my country would hand me over. China can't do shit to me.

Americans when Canadians say they'd prefer TikTok spying vs an American company:

but seriously. I want no one to have my data, but if someone HAD to have it, I would prefer TikTok over anything from Meta, Amazon, Microsoft, etc..

My country wont export me to China if I post something negative or pirate something. My country will export me to the US if they come banging on my door. I am quite literally safer letting China have a bit of my data.

If you know nothing about password managers to the point where you're asking a question like this, you should at least start with a cloud based manager.

Also if you use a reputable company, you're pretty safe. BitWarden is great. LastPass has been absolute bottom of the barrel for years now after LogMeIn bought them.

All of those domains sound like blogspam domains.

What do you mean by being able to see the time instantly?

My miband has an always on OLED display (if you want it) or the ability to have lift to wake with all of the different delays and sensitivities.

If anything, I'd say my miband shows the time quicker. My watch is also LED, not OLED, which is a bummer.

I may be weird, but I hate my WearOS devices. I highly prefer a Mi Band.

It gives me all of the same info my WearOS watch does (heart rate, spo2, sleep tracking, steps, app notifications, timers, alarms, phone call alerts, weather, etc) but is a more comfortable compact package, and the battery lasts 5+ days vs 18-25 hours. Not to mention the price is usually 5-15x cheaper.

I know I'm a minority, but I genuinely don't understand why people want a WearOS watch?

I have accounts on 3 instances.

BeeHaw, which I moved because they refused to allow people to make communities.

Lemmy.ml, which seems to always be down now, or throwing a ton of errors.

and now lemmy.world, but I don't see myself staying here because I know some instances already have defederated from .world (like beehaw) and I don't like that I am missing content from "major" instances.

I might just make my own instance so I can see all posts and don't have to worry about the instance being down for days/weeks.

Redditors already scream at people when they get a downvote and blame it on the person that replies to them, even if that person didn't downvote them.

I can see this being dangerous and leading to a lot of bullying. I know k-bin already publicly shows this. I can see who downvotes my comments/posts when I open up the post in a k-bin instance, without even being a member.

There's a TON of reasons for a second monitor, but the biggest undisputable reason is to be able to monitor something while doing work on your main monitor.

Switching virtual desktops every few minutes to check the progress of something is crazy.

I have 3 monitors and it's not enough. I'm convinced anyone who thinks 1 monitor is fine is slower and less efficient at any job than those with 2+
