The “rich” (white) neighborhoods in st Louis routinely fight against any sort of metro expansion near their refuges as well. They always claim that connecting to the metro will just make it easier for criminals to be in the neighborhoods.

Ford will take a while to die, they’ve always stockpiled a lot of rainy day cash to weather out bad spells. As you’ve said they had plenty of successful decades and successful cars. They even had successful cars at the same time as the pinto so it wasn’t really a problem
They’re addicts, they won’t look past their own needs long enough to think of others. Social media addiction isn’t as physically destructive as meth but is out it right up there mentally

It’s a river though, it’s never going to be all that clean. Yea they should wait till it follows to regulation required levels but expecting it to be anything near clean is unreasonable
