Tried Lemmios, got the Direct Messages OK, but the settings don’t seem great, can’t change the content listings to New from the default Hot. Think I’ll stick to a browser until Memmy gets updated.
Floofah
Guinea pigs are the most wonderful pets, hope your little one gets her nail sorted.
I found another IOS app Mlem. This does give access to DMs, but the app screen layout and customising is not as nice as Memmy for me, too many large images in the feed. Ah well, not the end of the world!!
Anyone here running an IOS Lemmy app? I’ve got Memmy which is quite good, but doesn’t have Direct Messages to other users. A pretty fundamental requirement I’d think.
Got caught out earlier as someone had sent me a DM, but the Memmy app didn’t alert me, or is it even able to display the message. Had to go to a browser to read and reply. Apparently it’s still in development in the Memmy app.
If anyone has a recommendation for a different IOS app, I’ll be very grateful, thanks.
That’s my usual excuse
Ours grows in winter, but not as strongly as in the warmer months, so it does make cutting it easier and quicker. It’s just the motivation I’m lacking!!
Morning all, hope everyone had a good weekend.
Another cold night so our grass is very wet atm, that’ll make mowing a job for later. I’d better do something with it before it gets too long.
I’d recommend Drunkenslug. DogNZB only accepts Crypto, and has no free tier, if you don’t renew subs, you loose access.
DSlug opens up fairly regularly, typically on occasions like Black Friday. I don’t currently have any invites for them, sorry.
I don’t download lots, so still mostly manually browse for stuff. I suffer from hearing loss, so need subtitles for everything. The best indexer for me is Drunkenslug for 2 reasons.
Firstly each release has a "media" link which pops-over the video info plus the audio language and subtitle language. Secondly DS has a "New Releases" link that lists movies by date, genre, etc, have found some good stuff I’d not heard about before.
I also use DogNZB which has a useful watchlist feature which can setup future movie and tv releases for auto RSS download whenever they appear. They have lists of upcoming movies and shows. That’s a bit like Sonarr, but only for that one indexer.
Found LiftOff! another IOS Lemmy app. This one looks good to me. Plenty of customising of the display style, text sizes etc, plus can see my DM’s so I’ll be trying it out.
