“A general, who’s a fantastic general, actually said to me, ‘Sir, I’ve been on the battlefield. Men have gone down on my left and on my right. I stood on hills where soldiers were killed. But I believe the bravest thing I’ve ever seen was the night you went on to that stage with Hillary Clinton, after what happened. And then that woman asked you the first question about it.’ And I said, locker room talk! It’s locker talk! What the hell?! Locker room talk!” – Trump, with yet another fake “Sir” story, last night at the New York Young Republicans Club gala. And it was Anderson Cooper who asked him about the pussy tape that night, not a woman.

So, trump has a tell. Whenever he quotes somebody saying something to him and it starts with the word "sir" addressing him, he's lying. He has made up the quote. This has been well documented.

All that this tells me is that trump would make a horrible poker player. Tell has been documented, discussed in the media, and he still won't change it. Successful businessman indeed

Haha. People in his fake stories literally always call him "Sir" it's such a tell.

[–] [email protected] 60 points 11 months ago (1 children)

He has an even more obvious tell, which is that he's lying whenever his lips are moving.

[–] cynar 12 points 11 months ago (2 children)

Not quite true. He sometimes stumbles onto a truth here and there, in his word salads. He seems to be getting better at avoiding them, however.

E.g. he agreed he wanted to be a dictator.

Even a stopped clock is right twice a day

[–] bustrpoindextr 1 points 11 months ago

Also like the time after he won the election and his trumpets were chanting "lock her up" and he said something like "nah, I just said that because it sounded good"

Never noticed that, lol. There should be a subreddit/community for all his fake-ass stories. I don't think they'd be able to handle the sheer volume of them on a going basis

It's had a name for several years... Sir Stories. A big, strong man comes up to him, tears streaming down his eyes. "Sir! I can't believe how strong you are with these Democrats. They treat you so unfairly! But you keep fighting for us, the real Americans!"

There's even an archive of them. Over 450 and counting.

Oh. My. God?! Lololooool, was it him in the mirror doing some cosplay in his birthday Brioni, fuck

  • Edit: fuckin' amazing, dawg! I can't handle anymore tonight but maybe I'll work my way thru them, advent calendar style and have a chocolate. Jesus

  • The Farmer stories might kill me lol

  • Simultaneously the saddest and most outrageously hilarious thing ever.

  • Someone should sell this shit

[–] [email protected] 6 points 11 months ago (1 children)
  • Someone should sell this shit

Someone does. It's Trump. And half the country is buying it.

[–] cheese_greater 1 points 11 months ago* (last edited 11 months ago)

k, someone should sell this in such away that neither Trump nor anyone in his network sees any material gain (except further laughingstockery) and the publishers gain much to his chagrin

Have at it shooter ;)

Why is this website being promoted repeatedly in this community? It is, as far as I can tell, just a blog. Can we stick to news sites or professional analysis please?

[–] asteriskeverything 7 points 11 months ago (1 children)

I appreciate that OP put the relevant trump quote in the body, and that your comment was top. Now I didn't waste my time just reading an opinion piece that I likely already agree with or heard before!

[–] [email protected] 5 points 11 months ago (1 children)

What OP quoted is actually the entire content of the article.

[–] asteriskeverything 1 points 11 months ago

Wow that is actual garbage.

[–] [email protected] 41 points 11 months ago (2 children)

What a pathetic cretin. Like, put aside the fact that he's a wannabe fascist who's causing incredible damage to the country and the world - he really is just pathetic, on a fundamental level.

[–] shalafi 10 points 11 months ago

Show this sort of thing to a supporter, "Ha! He's joking! Can't you take a joke!"

Trump says 'I don't kid' after aides argue he was joking about slowing coronavirus testing

He only jokes when he's punching down. And even then, it's not so much as joke as him "telling it how it is".

[–] [email protected] 1 points 11 months ago (1 children)

and so is everyone who loves him.. fundamentally pathetic deep in their souls..

[–] [email protected] 0 points 11 months ago

What souls?

[–] [email protected] 36 points 11 months ago (2 children)

The thing that amazes me the most about Trump is that he's so ridiculously cartoonish.

Who'd've thought that the most determined assault on American democracy would come from somebody who appears to be straight out of an Austin Powers movie?

[–] Riccosuave 13 points 11 months ago

raises hand ✋️

[–] cheese_greater 2 points 11 months ago

Have you seen Our Cartoon President, its literally one of the funniest coziest cartoons I've ever seen. Watch it if you can, its amazing

[–] eran_morad 31 points 11 months ago (2 children)

That General’s name? John Barron.

“Carolin Gallego”, holy shit, I forgot about this, fucking lol:

"I do not believe any man in America gets more calls from women wanting to see him, meet him, or go out with him. The most beautiful women, the most successful women—all women love Donald Trump."

[–] [email protected] 0 points 11 months ago

Interestingly, I just commented to a friend that that particular name was particularly amusing.

[–] billwashere 3 points 11 months ago

I was thinking 5 star general John Miller

[–] [email protected] 20 points 11 months ago (1 children)

Is this satire? I genuinly don't know.

[–] [email protected] 14 points 11 months ago

No, you do know the answer unfortunately.

[–] Buddahriffic 17 points 11 months ago (1 children)

How are so many so pathetic that they look up to this shit? "Bravest thing I've ever seen" lmao.

[–] reagansrottencorpse 7 points 11 months ago

They've effectively been brainwashed.

[–] cheese_greater 17 points 11 months ago

He missed the part about the General coming up to him with tears in his eyes and doing that Princess Diana teeth smile thing looking up like a little girl

[–] [email protected] 12 points 11 months ago (1 children)

Trump's tell is breathing. If he's breathing, he's lying.

[–] littlebluespark 20 points 11 months ago (1 children)

I, for one, wish him eternal truth, then.

[–] Nastybutler 7 points 11 months ago (1 children)

I think about 10 minutes of not lying should do the trick

[–] littlebluespark 4 points 11 months ago (1 children)

In his morbid state, I doubt he'd last a minute & a half.

[–] [email protected] 2 points 11 months ago

He’s in great health! The best!

[–] OrteilGenou 10 points 11 months ago

Trump does have a tell. You can spot every lie by checking to see if his mouth is moving.

[–] Godric 8 points 11 months ago

Can we as a group stop shilling this one fucking blog in the politics community for just 1 week? Thanks!

[–] [email protected] 7 points 11 months ago

Before he was elected I said "what kind of an idiot could bankrupt a fucking casino? Those things practically shit money." Some assholes who I used to be friends with used to tout his bussiness skills, but they also claimed that a Confederate flag was their "heritage". I suspect they only liked him for being a bigot.

[–] [email protected] 5 points 11 months ago

I'll take things that never happened for a thousand, Alex

[–] quindraco 3 points 11 months ago

Does it count as a tell when it's irrelevant? Everything Trump says is a lie. You can tell he's lying because his lips are moving. The addition of the word "Sir" doesn't change anything.
