Some of you liked the previous version, but that girl has such a meme potential, here is another attempt.

One of the better ai art images I've seen.

Wait, this is AI? (looks at hands) oh goddammit

I don't get what the image has to do with the text

Birth control pills are a common form of contraception. The pill bottle in the picture insinuates that the subject will use them, using the water to help swallow.

Sure, though birth control pill containers don't look at all like regular pill bottles.

Based on the original version of this meme, OP has almost certainly never taken birth control, also it's funny and I don't think it's an unreasonable reuse of the original image.

(In before someone else mentions being prescribed some weird uncommon BC that came in a standard pharmacy pill bottle, because I'm sure that's happened to someone at some point in history.)

Imagine thinking this was a good answer to their question. I mean Jesus Christ 🤦‍♂️.

[–] [email protected] -2 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Jesus Christ? What's the good lord got to do with this?

I actually have no idea what you mean. I was just trying to be helpful.

The question is why would she be taking birth control?

[–] [email protected] 2 points 1 year ago (1 children)

...to not get pregnant? That's kind of the point of the meme. Not sure what you're getting at.

Is it sex? Do you think sex is gross or controversial?

[–] clubb 1 points 1 year ago* (last edited 1 year ago) (1 children)

No, why would she use birth control? The image does not provide the context. According to the image, the reason to take take the pills is just for the sake of taking pills. She has no reason to take them. She, in the context given to us, is not pregnant.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 year ago (1 children)

The context is in the title. Due to kids throwing tantrums (dunno if youve ever experienced it as an adult, but it's annoying, especially if its not your own) she wants to take birth control.

I genuinely cant tell, is the joke that "your major factor of the desision is an annoyance" or is that earnistly what OP beleaves?

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 year ago (1 children)

OP is so annoyed by the sounds children make such that they do not (at this time, hence the birth control and not more drastic measures) want a child

Also, spellcheck your comment a little. The edit button is right there.

I mainly wanted to figure out OP's intent. Did OP want to communicate:

  • "its not for me"
  • "I dislike/hate the mother role"
  • "I dislike/hate kids"
  • "moms made a bad choice to being a mother"
  • or intentionally unclear

I wanted to be positive, but

... and not more drastic measures) ...

I wrote before,

that means any "drastic" action to separate the child's life from OP's life, past conception. ghoulishly implying the kid's well-being doesn't matter in the process.

that's worse than my worst assumptions.

Okay, Ive been informed that im being biased, I assumed they couldve only drastic actions against the child, not drastic actions to herself. Frankly i dont like that part in myself that assumes antagonism.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Your argument relies on assumptions, how do you know OP didn't simply mean getting a vasectomy or the like with 'drastic measures'?

[–] HelloHotel 1 points 1 year ago

Steriotypes and bad assumptions, yeah its not clear what they mean.

[–] HelloHotel 3 points 1 year ago* (last edited 1 year ago)

The photo doesnt have a specific meaning, the text came first and the image was made to fit rather than other way round. Probably the source of that disconnected feeling.
