Wish I knew what they were talking about. I've never had to login into Whatsapp, it was always done by confirming my phone number.

Now I have to login? What's my username? What happens if I lose my phone and the passkey was set up with a fingerprint or face recognition on the old one? Do I have to login into Google instead? But why login into Google to be able to login into Whatsapp?

So many questions.
