Not even a little surprising. I’m a runner. I’d say about once a week someone tries to hit me. I always have right of way when it happens.

The last time, I had the green light and pedestrian walk signal. I was in the crosswalk, and making my way across the street. There were two lanes in each direction, and a truck was sitting in the right lane, waiting for their green light. A bright yellow mustang came up the trucks right side, to turn right, fast, and didn’t even try to stop before the crosswalk. I always assume people are actively trying to run me over, so I stopped in front of the right corner of the truck. Once the mustang came to a stop, and I’m standing next to the driver door, headlight illuminating the asshole, he finally realizes what happened, rolls down window “my bad” and drives off.
