The Launch Pad @TLPN_Official 2:27 PM · Sep 3, 2023:

SpaceX will now be exclusively broadcasting on X

All upcoming live streams on other platforms have been removed and the SpaceX website has been update to only show X.

I did a search for "YouTube" site:spacex.com on Google. There were hits but the ones I checked were only because of Google's cached copies; the pages themselves no longer have references to YouTube (or LinkedIn or other platforms).

There are many old videos on YouTube. I don't know where to look on YouTube to see upcoming streams, and don't have an inventory of videos, so I can't check them.

This sucks. If I thought there was careful thought behind this I might understand - I'm all for diminishing YT - but it's just another sad reminder of who owns the company.

I don't believe Nitter supports livestreams yet, and won't blame them if they never do. Glad we have unofficial streamers outside of twitter.

If viewing experience we're comparable or better, I wouldn't mind so much. The internet would definitely benefit from a serious YouTube competitor. But as it currently stands, the viewing experience is much worse.

Super disappointed in this. Can't say I'm entirely surprised, given the CEO's recent distracted antics, but this is definitely a regression in viewing experience. No pause or rewind capability, no Mission Control audio, grainy resolution, no frame-by-frame...

They would be listed in https://www.youtube.com/@SpaceX/streams, and are labeled "upcoming".

I definitely do not have an inventory of videos going back just over a year. Is there anything you would like me to not check?

This is sad, Twitter video is still shit.

Cool, now the failed launches can be hidden from the public!

The, or one of the, most successful rockets ever? And people are taking pictures and videos of the launches anyway.
