I'm looking at potentially switching from Comcast to Frontier Fiber in the South Bay. Advertised service is 1gbps symmetrical.

I'm a little wary of Frontier as a provider. Can anyone recommend or share your experience of their fiber service?

It's been mostly fine but it has gone out a few times over the past two years for a couple of days without any acknowledgement from frontier. I use nextdoor to confirm the issues aren't just in my end. Another problem I'm seeing is the speed for download and upload randomly falls below what I'm paying for. Other than that it has been fine, they don't complain about the terabytes of data that come and go from me or block my ports or anything weird like that

Thanks for sharing! Multiday outages are concerning. No notification is also unusual.

Yup. It has been more reliable than comcast, which we had before.
