I'm also experiencing slowness with upvotes. Would this also be impacted?

Brilliant, thanks for fixing the issue!
Glad it is fixed. The site already feels way faster!
I can't seem to create any posts.
It does feel a lot smoother, thank you for your efforts!
Thank you Based Ruud
noice!!
Excellent, hopefully the snappier site convinces those who were concerned about speed and ease of use to join.
Testing.
E: Seems to work.
I'm testing it now
Edit: wow, works wonders now
Hah! Good job on catching that one!
Thanks for the update, @Ruud, although while we're on the subject of posting issues I have a problem with one particular post that I am trying to add to a community here that I moderate.
Basically, it's a long list of archived Reddit threads that formed the bulk of our subreddit's wiki. Each item in the list has a hyperlink that leads back to a Reddit post.
I have tried to submit it about a dozen times over the past few days and twice again since you made this post, but all I get is the little spinny wheel of eternity and the post is never successful.
Is that because of an issue with external links or something else, do you think?
Edit: ok, apprently it's a known issue with Lemmy.
Maybe a part time solution for now would be to use "just paste" it's a better paste bin alternative and put there all the links in and link only to just paste
Yeah I could, but I'd prefer to have the list local to lemmy.world so users here can browse through the index locally.
It's not a huge deal, but I was more wondering why exactly the post isn't being accepted by the lemmy.world server.
Might be still a early limitation or simply bug. Maybe contact the lemmy Devs I think they are on github
~~I cannot create post since ~24h
( could this be related ? )
Tried 2 browsers on Android.~~
ok, now i can ... yet not at :
[email protected]
BTW : Congratulations to @Ruud
and to @[email protected]
Have you tried changing the language to english?
I had the same problem just now when trying to reply to a post.
Yeah, I tried that.
Amazing, thank you!
Awesome job, thank you!
Thanks.
Thank you for the fix!
Good info!
takes notes
I'm not able to post to c/news since I just get a spinner icon forever. No one else has posted there for the past day either, and there has been plenty of news since then. I've been able to post to some other communities. So something seems to be wrong specifically with c/news which surprisingly isn't a highly active community like its reddit (or should I say deaddit) counterpart.
I just tested and I can post there... Can you maybe retry (perhaps in a fresh browser window?)
it seems to happen at random , wasnt able to post on 3 different comments in a post ( endless circle ) even swapped VPN servers / cleared cookies and cache and relogged .
30 min later was fixed. maybe some hiccups still from federating.

Test
Edit: ohmygosh that's nice and smooth

I found an odd bug.
I tried creating a comment on a pc browser here:
https://lemmy.world/post/188235?scrollToComments=true
And had the endless circle.
Used Jerboa on android and it gave an error: "that language is not allowed". So I went back to the browser and chose english and it worked.
I can post on other posts, though.
