Made by my partner for our cultural appreciation day. Best description of flavor is like a pizza, but wonderfully different topped with salad and lemon juice.

I've had a recipe tab open on my phone for about 5 days now to make this. These look seriously delicious.

I made a simple Armenian Apple Chunk Cake. That was super easy and delicious. Wish I could try the Armenian bread, I think it's called Lavash. It looks so good!!

This looks so good. Do the veggies on the side go on top, or is that part eaten like a salad? Are those pickled red onions? Because if so, stop wasting time and get in my mouth.

I believe they are supposed to go on top. My method of tasting was first plain, then with the salad, and finally with the lemon too. It was adding everything that was the best in my opinion. The red onions were not pickled, but they did have some of that tang.

My partner said: I think the recipe has a mistake on the sumac amount. I think 2 tablespoons would be too much, I think they really meant 2 teaspoons. I split the difference and did a tablespoon and a teaspoon, and I thought it a slight gritty texture. So don't do 2 tablespoons

Sumac is a surprisingly divisive ingredient. I am of the opinion that you can't have too much sumac.

But there also are people who can't stand it at all.

It's best to adjust it to personal preference. I have seen restaurants serve it on the side for that reason

I think the amount he added was wonderful, but I would be curious to try it at the fully amount too. It was his first attempt and I have already begged him to make it again.
