Underfunded because of Socialist politics (Stallman and Torvalds are openly Socialists) Donated money being redirected to politics (Mozilla is well known for this, but also Brave) Unsavory community because of conspiracy theorists

Underfunding due to politics leads to poor hardware support and poor software development

Basically all reasons people give for not wanting to go back to using Linux trace back to politics as the underlying reason.
