About 20 years ago, I tried to order a sandwich at Subway and got into a very minor confrontation with the server because I didn't understand how the whole thing worked. I still think about that sometimes. I don't understand how Nando's works either, so I've been careful to avoid the same mistake and have just never gone in.

BTW: your Community only allows posts from 'Unspecified' as a language. The standard thing, I think, is to multi-select both 'Unspecified' and 'English' in your Community's settings.

Thank you very much for your feedback. very apprechiated. i had trouble with languages before. as you can imagine the mod tools on lemmy are not the greatest yet. i think i fixed it, to support all languages now. if you can see this answer it means, it worked :)

I've wanted to try Subway for a while. Once I got as far as to stand in line. Looking at the ingredients. People lining up behind me. "Hey, this is my first time getting a sandwich here, can you guide me through this?" – It would be so easy to say and nothing to be shameful of. But I didn't want to inconvenience anyone, I told myself, and I left before it was my turn.
