I've heard "Russian squat" or "slavic squat" far more often

Yeah, heels to the ground, comrade found. Heels to the sky, CIA spy. This meme is like the first time I'm hearing of an "asian squat".

[–] [email protected] 5 points 2 days ago

Asian squat is only common as a term if you live near or in asian communities. Same idea though. Came from the stereotype of seeing asian aunties and uncles squatting on the sidewalks.

the heels are all the way on the ground so it's better than I can do 😭

We rent a house for Thanksgiving every other year. This year's house has a broken oven thermostat, the oven's element just stays on no matter what you set the temp to. This has unironically been us, though we got a chair.

How does one rent a house for a day? Or do you mean Airbnb type thing?

[–] Joelk111 3 points 2 days ago

Airbnb type thing, yeah, for Wednesday night through to Sunday.

I assume you're a better person than me and don't do this, but right now I am absolutely fantasizing about just leaving the dishes and whatever is sticky all over the counters, moving house, and starting a new life.... That's what I imagine when you say you rent a house for thanksgiving and fully support it.

Hah, yeah, my family is pretty neat and tidy in general.

Omg this is genuinely the most amazing font choice I've seen in any comic, like ever. Is it weird that this one has suddenly and instantly become my favorite (and I don't even know what it is - either font or comic:-)? It's not just that it's so readable, it's that it is so very welcoming.

I feel the same way about my laundry, the more I watch it the cleaner it gets

This was me watching Yorkshire puddings rise this morning. Like a delicious version of those shitty little fireworks snakes, it's mesmerizing!

So everybody is gonna ignore the hair color change?

[–] [email protected] 12 points 2 days ago (1 children)

What hair color change? There's two people in this comic

Wait so the girl with red hair got in, and black haired girl just happen to notice at same time? Can someone explain what I missed?

[–] hamFoilHat 10 points 2 days ago

What the hell are you talking about? Red hair girl was looking for black hair girl. Black hair girl was squatting in front of the oven watching the muffins bake the whole time.
