Finally back home now
Well I'm off to sleep for 16 hours, see you all!
Welcome back! Night night, and try to sleep in if you can.
Everyone's having a good time ๐
Back in Vic now. Was briefly here for a few hours this morning (driving from Pinnaroo, SA, to Balranald, NSW
Energy and patience levels very very low. Only just left Echuca, so still a few hours from home. Probably gonna get back about 9:30. Sure hope past me tidied up before leaving (genuinely don't remember)
Anywho, I sorted out my shop yesterday. Will be delivered tomorrow evening, so I can have a sleep in. Gonna smash some KFC tonight, and might order some lunch in tomorrow. Who wants to cook
Edit: KFC has been smashes. Also remembered that I ordered an ABBA vinyl from Kmart (which they apparently sell for black Thursday or whatever the stupid sale thing is called). I don't have a vinyl player but oh well, I'm a top 0.05% ABBA fan according to Spotify
Changing my Facebook profile photo to me playing a gig was a great idea for getting into a new band.
Just saw some lightning. Had a look on windy.com and there's a big storm heading due south. Has nearly reached Whittlesea.
Ooh, looks big. But also looks like it's getting blown Southwest towards Gisborne and might miss most of Melbourne. Whatever, just bring on the cool change please.
I think Iโll just be on the outer edges of it but Iโm seeing a very cool lightning show.
First cicadas of the year are shouting in my front yard. They're bloody loud.
ow, just cut the tip of my finger with the new knife, it has set my teeth on edge, just a tiny scrape but ๐ฌ
Reporting from a shopping centre as a worker. Sales bring out the fruit loops for sure.
Just in my store: police arrested someone for shoplifting (they should do this more often because there are lots of thieves, especially the teenagers who need to learn a valuable lesson). Someone told me that I should be at the entrance checking people's bags and that it's silly how I'm not stopping everyone. We have a ~3m wide entrance, so I can't possibly stop everyone. Unless we were to do something like the COVID vaccine check. Can't believe that was a thing. Anyway, another customer defends me, bless her. The complaining customer tells the other customer to calm down and that she's a clinical psychologist. I know if I were a clinical psychologist, I wouldn't be telling someone to calm down.
My positive from this shift so far: staff parking was full so I got to park close to the entrance for the same rate as staff woop woop
I am so excited to hopefully get a new job next year and have this on the side!
Whatever I save on rent and gas connection fees at this place I'll definitely be making up for in air-conditioning - despite having the extractor fan on and blinds and windows firmly closed the place is a furnace. I can feel the fire from behind the blinds in this west facing bedroom. It's hotter than it is outside.
Off to have dinner with a friend shortly but I think I'll need to have the AC on timer while I'm out so that I can sleep in this damn place tonight ๐ฎโ๐จ
It might be worth having a little air or foam mattress to sleep in a cooler room when itโs bad. I also would put tinfoil on the sunny side windows.
West facing bedrooms are the worst
Had some beers, had some whiskey, had some weed.
All of you are looking extra good tonight ๐
Got back late after work to buy some essentials to last the next fortnight.
Bought some honey ham on special and I found one of those massive meat rolls I ate while ago on clearance for 5 bucks as well.
Debating if I should have it tonight or tomorrow.
Exhausted now and hoping to chill for the rest of three night with some gaming and background movies or shows.
Happy Friday everyone.
You definitely deserve one ๐ป๐ป๐ป๐บ๐บ
Good night everyone. Sweet dreams. ๐
Is there anything more dramatic than a cat whose food bowl is only 95% full?
FFS someone backed into my car when doing school pick up. Thankfully not much damage and to their credit they hung around to give me their details, but jesus I do not need the headache.
I can empathise,Iโve been hit twice in the past year in the school scrum and one of those accidents took my car out for 6 weeks.
Actually I shouldnโt say accident. I should say negligence. People lose their fucking minds during that time.
I'm a bit concerned about following these instructions.
earth and world are the same character/word in Mandarin ๐คทโโ๏ธ
( in the old mandarin I learnt )
Noah, get the boat.
That's enough work for today. Sign off. Going to have a bit of retail therapy before heading home, but I won't last long if it's super crowded at the shops like I think it'll be.

Missed today's 2pm class. I hate myself.
Thank you for the support these past few weeks, I can catch up via the recording of the class I missed today.
sorry for posting so much, I'll pull back and let others have space to vent
Vitamin and mineral content for cat food doesn't exist, just Crude Ash % (which is the % of vitamins and minerals after incineration). I found a whole metric fuckton of vetmed papers detailing the minimum requirements for cats, but no packaging has a breakdown of what vitamins and minerals they contain.
I don't want to google every bloody ingredient.
Interestingly, Fancy Feast and Purina are much more transparent than Dine or Fussy Cat. Thanks Nestle, I guess lol
๐ต ๐ถ ๐๏ธ Just meet me at the... APT! APT! APT! ๐๏ธ ๐ถ ๐ต
Oh so nice outside. Nice cool wind.
while I fully understand and support the "fuck you, pay me" and "act your wage" ethos of millennials and genZ, some of the stuff I've dealt with this week honestly has me questioning which one of us actually grew up inhaling leaded petrol fumes.
It's the microplastics I suppose, that and hardly any millennial or genz will own their own home or do the great things they dreamed of doing.
It would make anyone resentful enough to just phone it in and not give a flying fuck.
But yeah, prolly the microplastics lol
prolly the microplastics
I had one of those once and don't have a house so theory checks out :)
Didn't take lunch because I was waiting for something to come through then had a meeting. So I took it now for an early trip home. A nice way to end a Friday
Hey mate you should have a beer about it ๐ป๐บ
Lawn has been mowed. Meetings ended. Shower and lunch had. Time to tidy up one more thing workwise and the weekend is here.
Also - new Kendrick album slaps
