You will become a random animal and exist in its natural habitat. You can not go anywhere that animal wouldn't go normally. You will have knowledge on how to do anything that animal normally does and nothing will eat you if you're a prey animal.

You don't have to eat. Other animals might fight you, but can't kill you. They will leave you alone before they kill you if they beat you down.

You will heal back from any injuries within 24 hours but still feel the pain until healing.

You just have to live as that creature for 6 months, then you turn back and get 50 million of a mystery currency that exists currently on earth. All currencies that can be found in google conversion boxes will be put in a hat then one pulled out at random.

Bonus Round: You get to pick the animal but everything else stays the same

Plus afterwards you can release your best-selling book "my life as a beetle"

No, because I wouldn't leave my life with my loved ones behind for 6 months. However, since we're already in the realm of magic - I would totally do it if I'd be brought back to the moment I started afterwards. Being more or less immortal, there isn't too much danger and there's a chance I get to experience flying for example. I could discover the deep sea. Or I could hibernate. There are so many interesting things to learn.

However, there is one additional problem: Can I die of natural causes? Many insects don't even make it 6 months.

Anyways, the money is a nice bonus, but I'd do it without the reward if I cannot die within these 6 months. Given that there are about 180 currencies and my current one is rated ~6th, I probably will make a lot less than 50 million.

No, you won't die of natural causes

Hell no. Some insects only live for a few weeks at most. Imagine starving to death repeatedly because you're a moth in adult form with no mouth. And your perception of time makes it feel like a whole human lifetime. No thanks.

And some currency is almost worthless. I'd need more set boundaries personally

If you can't die then sure

Absolutely.

I see plenty of upsides here and no significant downside

I'm really quite excited to discover what I get to be.

Despite good odds that 50 million of a particular currency might be crap in USD, sure, since there's no risk of death.
