Listening to an interview with John Waters. 💗
A surprise early Strange New Worlds was a welcome addition to my Sunday night. As was the surprisingly good Beef Madras from coles.
Hello brains trust, I’m seeking appliance advice.
Thinking of getting a split system for heating/cooling as gas heating costs are nuts and we also don’t have aircon, so combining the two seems like a good idea.
Could anyone suggest brands to check out or avoid, please?
So far, I’ve heard Mitsubishi and Panasonic are good, but am a bit unsure about where to start
I'm looking in to them too. I don't know whether to try to choose a brand first, then try to find a decent installerr, or pick an installer and choose from the brands they sell. I really just want to wave a magic wand and have it done.
Apparently there's a difference between Mitsubishi heavy industy and Mitsubishi electric. You want the former.
Mitsubishi Electric are still decent. Mine is around 10 years old and I let it get dirty and never serviced it. It was full of cat fur and mould. I paid someone to do a full clean and now it works like new.
Seagoon movies. Mortal Engines. I just could not get into this Steam Punk Vernian /Howl's Moving Castle pastiche but if you love steam punk post apocalyptic stories you will love this a lot. It looks glorious , has an original idea and some good characters. Trailer; https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IRsFc2gguEg
And that's it for daily movies , I've been watching so much telly and movies the past few years I am filled up. I also notice that for me it's consumption of another person's whole vision. There is no room for my own creative thought. To have a fresh mind I need my own real experience and if I can't have that then books and music.
So movies and telly only on the weekends from now on. I still love movies so much 💗💗💗, just need to regulate my watching.
TIL that the 3M Part number for the aluminium tape that goes on airplanes, is 420.
Blaze it 🚬🌿🔥
Indonesia should have spam laws.
My Telkomsel SIM card gets multiple offers and promo messages daily from the carrier with a few different numbers. They're all legitimate links but it's getting really annoying lol.
Not sure if this is allowed but if anyone has Apple TV and doesn't have a current subscription, you can get 2 free months via this promotional link.
Don't forget to cancel the sub after redeeming it so you don't ger charged.
I hate apple tv with a passion
their app sucks so bad, if you switch it on all the other apps are subsumed and you lose a lot of functions
If you search in their app they will always give the most expensive option or say what you want doesn't exist.
the controller also sucks
Any other parents here use a pocket money app? Recommendations? My current system of marking it on the fridge has some drawbacks....
Today I learnt about the sport Extreme Ironing. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Extreme_ironing
Now it makes sense, cue Divine , "Can't you see I'm ironing in here"
🤨 Big W cat litter has increased from $19 to $25 a bag
About to try a method of scrambling eggs in the shell before boiling them. Wish me luck!
Ok, 8hrs of Scott & Bailey last night probably wasn't a good idea, my dreams today were mostly just made up episodes Lmao
YouTube had static posts now...? When did that happen... I keep waiting for the video to autoplay then realise it's just a screen cap or something.
