I'm honestly surprised this isn't a thing everywhere. People go through rough times at any point in their life and shouldn't be at a disadvantage because of it. If you had to drop out of high school to work full time you should have the chance to pick up where you left off at any time.

And let's be honest, a GED is good but everyone knows that employers see them as different than a highschool diploma. It's super shitty, but it's like an unspoken rule among employers that it's "worse."

Most states handle these classes through community colleges. The big deal here is that it is a specific charter school developed for this rather than a state run entity.
