Had a chat with EFG today. The /r/gunners mods will be taking over soon. I'll leave these changes to them. I just hope they keep vibe of /c/gunners the same and not try to replicate /r/gunners. I love how this community has shaped and grown over the last few days.
Hmm. Interesting. I would have preferred us be our own separate entity. But they've done an amazing job on Reddit so I guess it's fair.
Yea, that's understandable. But this was the promise I had made from the start when the community was created (to give control to the /r/gunners mods).
I would be lying if I said I'm not a little nervous with how inactive they've been here. But a promise is a promise. And any community changes going forward is for the community to decide with the mods.
@I_am_the_grass @Roxamir I hope you at least remain an honorary mod. You've demonstrated enough integrity to be trusted not to abuse those powers.
Regardless, your role in setting this up and keeping it going is appreciated 🫡

Yeah. And of course I'm not trying to gatekeep by any means. It's just that our little group over here is nice :) However, the more the merrier (i hope lol)
Just want to give you credit though, you did a fantastic job getting this community up and running during a tough time. Allowed this move to happen in the first place.
I was also thinking, since the Karma race isn't as heavy over here, maybe we should manually include Tiers in the title of posts? At least until a flair system gets incorporated.
I am busy creating bot to put in upcoming fixture list on the sidebar for c/reddevils. I was planning to add features to automatically tag posts with tiers. Will let you know how that works out

No. There's no flairs on Lemmy. I was just envisioning people checking this list and manually making their post title look something like this:
[Tier 0] [Gunnersaurus] Arsenal Sign Declan Rice
Or something like that.
I think that would be very helpful, when major news happens we can get swamped by ITKs and tier 3/4s easily. I at least try to name the source.
Can we please sticky this for the transfer window and follow the same rules as R/gunners (T4- in the daily discussion only)
Would like to prevent some of the toxicity that is rampant in that sub.

Can we also add a Tier 5+ for Doc, AFCstuff, and the rest of the ITKs that everyone seems to F5 to death? If they are more credible than we can add them appropriately, like Teamnewsandtix
I don't think Tier 5s should be a thing.
If they're that low/unreliable then they're just adding unnecessary fluff to the community. Tier 4s are already really unreliable.
That's why the Sun was banned on r/gunners iirc.
I'm with Roxamir on this, there's literally no point for anything more than Tier 4 cuz Tier 4 is already pretty much a guess half the time. Anything that's not listed I'd say is feel hyped at your own risk; obviously there are leaks in an organisation of this size but their reliability is not to be trusted. With that being said, I'm personally not gonna remove those kinda posts cuz we need the engagement and cuz I'm also guilty of F5ing some. No S*n though. That's not based on reliability but on morality for me.
