Hi Beta users,

Today we’re sending you an Android 14 Beta 3.1 patch (UPB3.230519.014) which includes the latest June security update and the following fixes:

  • Fixed platform compatibility issues that were affecting mapping SDKs, which caused dependent apps to crash in some cases.

Other known issues still apply to Beta 3.1. In addition, see top open issues for the latest issues reported by developers and users and review our release notes for more details.

Downloaded and sideloaded. Tired of "optimizing apps" especially if I'm sitting in front of a computer anyway.

Yeah, it’s generally my preferred method but for small things like this that I’m personally not having issues with I let it do the thing in the background.

Send me your phone and I'll optimize your apps for you. Just include your credit card in the shipment so I can charge you a small $5 fee.

You got it, dude. You might be into something big here. Don't forget me when you make it big.

64.67MB on Pixel 7 Pro, still optimizing apps here.

[–] TheWaulicus 2 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Yeah, it was about the same for me - so far no issues but I never ran in to the fingerprint issue either so I can't confirm whether or not it's resolved for me.

Same for me. My phone rebooted randomly in my pocket the other day but otherwise I've not had any issues with beta 3. We'll see if 3.1 helps.

I still don't have it. Says it'll roll out over a week from launch but I want to see if the modem change has improved anything so bad!

On it now. Lock screen unlock lag is fixed.

Looking forward to this getting rolled out, it's pretty much the only gripe I have with my 7a. The egregious data harvesting can be fixed with DuckDuckGo app (it blocks tracking in all apps), while the infuriating forced widgets on the home screen can be fixed with Nova launcher.

Its still "wiping" data if we go stable after the beta is done?

[–] sabriy01 2 points 1 year ago (1 children)

I bought a new phone. And this phone released this year. And it comes Android 11 lol

[–] yasuocidal 2 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Which phone are we talking about, also have you done the updates? maybe its not from this year after all

Oh... Sadly this one is not a Tier 1 manufacturer and doesnt just publish the latest version. I saw online that it was version 12 out of the box so if you truly have the 11 one, you might have been scammed. I would recommend not going with honor in the future ( thats my personal opinion, you might like the device ). Look if there are custom ROMs for it that might have a newer version

[–] Anonymous0573 1 points 1 year ago (1 children)

I agree with you. I was using my Honor 6X and while it was very outdated, I was pretty happy with it. One day it just bricked for no reason. I've also had bad experience with Motorola, despite all the praise I've read online.

I would strongly reccomend google pixels and oneplus. In my expirience they have been the best i could ask for, had a Oneplus 6 and now a pixel 6 and i am very happy, they might have a "premium" price tag but i consider them an investment since i use them every day ( even for work, i do development ) and typically last a while ( my OP6 lasted 5 years and i needed to switch to the Pixel 6 for the new android versions due to programming ).

I have a Oneplus Nord N100 that I got from Amazon for $150 about a year ago. It's actually not bad. Only problem is the charging port is super loose. I'm pretty happy with it.

[–] Mikey_donuts 1 points 1 year ago

Weird. I still don't have it.

I have a weird bug where the share menu automatically crashes even before it loads. Other than that, I can't seem to be able to set a cinematic photo as a wallpaper.
