Be careful, this is a very disturbing movie
Make sure you watch the uncut version, some important scenes were cut from the first US release
Steve Buscemi named this film one of his favorite, this movie inspired Quentin Tarantino to write Natural Born Killers. More about its legacy on wiki

That movie made me sick in my stomach when I watched it as a teenager back in the 90s, certainly not a flick for everyone.

I remember I had to pause the film and leave the room to calm down a bit. Never anything like this happened to me while watching a movie. Definitely not for everyone.

My goodness, this looks odd, but it has charm. So I'll give it a watch. Thanks for the suggestion.

edit: How do I know if I'm watching the EU uncut version vs the US release?

IIRC I have the uncut version and its 1:36:18 with end credits included. The cut version is rated Unrated in the US, the uncut is NC-17 and released by Criterion. There is also an Australian cut version.

imdb has a list of the different versions under "Alternate versions", but obviously it contains massive spoilers as it lists the missing scenes.
