This is an insane take. Some percent of those people would die due to active participation in the war; you can not use the war "very quickly end[ing]" as justification for sacrificing human lives. I guarantee you the vast majority of these people are more interested in living their lives without threats of external violence than sacrificing themselves for someone else's war.
