He was getting a lot of shit from a soon as he came on. The Brighton players were hacking at him. The home fans were booing him. Was really good to see him put in an excellent performance and get a goal to shut them all up. And you could see when he scored how much it meant to him. That defiance and intensity in his face. Great stuff!

Booing Ben too. What classless fans. I wonder if they do the same for other former players or if it's specifically an Arsenal problem.

They started booing Ben after an incident with one of Brighton's players where Ben went down with a whack to his larynx. I think the Brighton fans felt he had faked the injury. But the level of booing over that was insane, especially for a former player who left them on his terms.

I noticed the booing of Ben stopped after Trossard scored our third and the home fans started fleeing the stadium. 😏

Ah I thought it had started before that but I think you're right. Ben really did put on a show for that lol.

The Brighton fans really were put through pain though. They didn't managed a single attempt on goal for about 80% of the second half.
