Now this is based purely on a ten minute highlight reel but I don't think things are all that bad for us. I don't think it was a flattering scoreline - sure, plenty of wasted chances but 3 or 4 shots off the post and Villa's keeper had an excellent game.
Sure, it's disappointing the way we lost to Chelsea and to win that game would've put us in the title conversation but it's not like we're coming in 7th. I don't disagree with anyone who says it might be time for a change of manager, but we've had a lot of disarray due to injuries in the past 2 seasons so I can see the argument that we haven't seen the best of this team yet.
It's the inconsistency and the times where you want to facepalm over defensive errors or midfield errors or attacking errors that gets me. Today was good apart from the goal they scored (though tbh I was kinda distracted) but the problem is that the goal they scored should have been defended in the first place.
Also like we're Arsenal, we need to aim higher than just third especially considering we got knocked out of the UWCL so damn early this year.
Yeah agree with that. To me it feels a bit like the men's team under Emery and in Artetas first year, just frustrating to watch
