An Arizona Republican bill that would allow individuals with concealed carry weapon permits to bring their firearms onto college campuses passed an initial hurdle, though it’s all but certain the proposal won’t become law.

Why would it be a problem is people with permits on college. I would not think the people who got the permits and people who would commit crimes would be a large overlap.

I always find these bans weird. If someone's going to shoot a place up, they're not obeying the "no guns" sign. So what problem are we trying to solve?

I agreed, I don't think it is wrong to have no guns area but there should be enforcement and protection with it. There should be no practical way to walk in with a gun without someone being alerted.
