Would someone mind explaining this for a non-american?

Cops think they'll overdose from touching anything even related to Fentanyl, because they're fucking idiots.

In other news, cops have been caught selling fentanyl.

The reality is it's always cops being huge fucking pussies who can't handle even a small amount of adversity. So if they even think they came in contact with it, they're going to absolutely lose their shit, make a huge deal out of it, and attempt to get some sweet, sweet paid leave.

You can't trust cops, they're making shit up, because we allow them to. We know they're not actually scared of it, they're busy importing it to sell it.

What an obscure meme that requires you to have read a specific and not very noteworthy news article.

I mean, this is a recurring thing in the US, it's not just this one specific article.

Man I read a shit ton of news articles and I’ve never even heard mention of this.

This is not about a "specific and not very newsworthy news article". This is about a widespread panic that has become so pervasive, the NIH has had to publish papers debunking it.

And yet American news orgs still take cops at face value when they claim to have overdosed from mere contact with fentanyl...

This is a recurring thing in the US. If you follow US News you've probably seen a number of articles like this one in the last few years.
