Why the quotes around heat pump? Almost makes it look like a heat pump is some silly, make-believe thing, rather than being an appliance that’s existed for decades.
Good point. I recall one of my relatives bought a house in the 70s with one installed.
Edit - when the furnace in my house dies it will be replaced with a heat pump. Same for the water heater.
